"Shara Nelson doesn’t have a voice that lends itself to happy songs. It’s difficult to imagine her belting out ‘My Humps’ or suchlike. She can do life-affirming melancholy, however, which is roughly where this song sits.

The theme is of a bittersweet relationship and, of course, Shara’s getting the shitty end of the stick: ”You’ll never see inside of me, never want to know what’s wrong, never want to go that deep.”

But on the Charles Webster remix, married to Superpitcher-like soft tones and gently swelling bass, it’s very hard not to get caught up in the emotion of it all—you know it’s a bit hokey, and her voice inevitably conjures memories of Massive Attack playing in Starbucks, but despite all that this song really works. I can definitely see Michael Mayer or Ewan Pearson playing this while hordes of happy people blink back the occasional tear."

"Hug The Scary" is a transcendental journey. Trace echoes of melody encircle an intensifying percussive step, filtering to a chimed key reflection. Tonal themes fade in, compete, distort and then depart, making way for peaks of overwhelming melody, with only the fittest surviving and elevating to the sublime.

"Crazy People" is a wired up techno prog kinda thang.

'Not Exactly' is a lush bobbing epic monster, with its intense groove and soaring synths.

"Carlon" is centred around a mighty chord which is slightly off but is sucked into the beat of the track through its strong rhythm programming. "Carolin“ is a super uplifting and euphoric track, that can rock big floors around the world. It´s fat beat pattern is just massive.

The Charles Webster remix of Worked It Out starts off as a nice thudding beat with a crisp minimal click on the offbeat, until an echoing vocal sample swifts in and around starting off the soft but pushing "shoulder shifting“ bass line. Smooth piping reverbed blows outline an almost euphoric melody, a very trippy and atmospheric tune with soft cymbals pattering away in the background. Soothing sounds and housey chords mix perfectly to make a chilled out dreamy beach tune with a nice progressing beat. A swerling bridge with a 90‘s Casio chord melody steps in and then fades out to the echoes of the vocals drifting silently away into the sun…..
