Art Spiegelman is perhaps, most notably the Pulitzer Prize Winning creator of MAUS. He was a major figure in the underground comics movement of the 1960s and 1970s. For ten years he worked for the New Yorker Magazine.  And, oh yeah, he created Wacky Packages and co-created Garbage Pail kids.
