The group was developed by Denis Orynbekov (vocals and lead guitar), Ruslan Baimurzin(drums), Igor Reznik (Rhythm Guitar), and Alex Prokofyev (Bass). In Fall of 2009 quartet became a trio when Alex left the group, and Igor Reznik switched roles from playing rhythm guitar to playing the bass. Even though currently The Clox is based out of New York City, originally the band got its roots in Kazakhstan in the year 2005. Denis Orynbekov, formerly a professional soccer player in his home country, started this project and instantly gained local press and fan recognition. In the year 2007 Denis moved to New York City with the band's drummer, Ruslan Baimurzin, to pursue music. In September of 2007, Ruslan and Denis met rhythm guitarist and songwriter, Igor Reznik. The three found themselves intrigued with each others personality and immediately decided that they wanted to pursue music together and evolve as a whole. The Clox performed in some of the country's best venues such as New York City's Filmore at Irving Plaza, Boston's Middle East Downstairs, New York City's Hiro Ballroom, New York City's Le Poison Rouge, and Falls Churchâs(Virginia) The State Theater, among others. They have shared the stage with The Toadies, Clinic, The Gift, Mumiy Trol, Drew Halcomb and The Neighbors, The Night Snipers, Lyapis Trubeckoy, etc. Their music is widely used in "Video Go See", model promotional videos that are created for Ford, Trump, and other modeling agencies. "Video Go See " is produced by Paz Turner Creative Group(http://pazturner.com/). The band has also made the best rock videos of April, 2011 top ten as well as the best indie rock song of November, 2011 top ten on the Ourstage monthly music charts. Their songs are now in rotation on both Pandora Radio as well as New York City's 87.7 Indie Darkroom Radio. Their first independently produced album, âReady to Starveâ has been released in November of 2010. Currently The Clox has finished recording their second album that will be titled "Civilian" and is due for release in February of 2012

The Tiny Giant Artist Collective is coming to Brooklyn for the first time! The group will be hosting a showcase at Death By Audio on Wednesday, February 15. The bands/members performing will be The Nico Blues, The Everymen, Those Mockingbirds, and Brick + Mortar. The show starts at 8PM and only costs $7. The Collective is an NJ based group of bands, bloggers, and photographers all working together to establish a self-sustaining New Jersey music scene. Thus far, the group has hosted two sold out showcases at Maxwell's, created a fanzine, and released a compilation that can be downloaded for free on the link above. The group was founded by members of The Nico Blues, Holy City Zoo, and Those Mockingbirds and includes popular Brooklyn bands such as The Courtesy Tier and Cinema, Cinema. The Lounge Act is an alternative rock group based out of the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The band was formed by Simon Guzman and Jordan Wuest when they began writing songs together and performing at open mics around the city under Simon and Jordan. They eventually recruited their good friends from high school Nick Ciccantelli and Roger Walsh, and immediately started working non stop and recording. The Lounge Act draws influences from modern rock and indie music, as well as classic rock to bring back that solid rock and roll sound in a way you've never experienced.

PhillyBloco is modeled after the blocos of Rio de Janeiro, with their large percussion sections and harmonic/vocal accompaniment. Our group is comprised of twelve drummers, electric guitar, bass guitar, vocals, horn section, accordion, and Brazilian dancers. The group performs a raucous mash-up of SAMBA, FUNK, REGGAE and more made popular by both Brazilian and non-Brazilian artists including: Olodum, Timbalada, Monobloco, Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder. The one constant in all of our music is a heavy percussive element (12 drummers!) that we use to explore the tremendous range of Brazilian rhythms, applying our own unique creativity and energy to each arrangement. The Ugly Club's Kickstarter campaign went live on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 and will be running for 30 days, allowing fans to help fund the release of their upcoming full-length record. Ryan Egan, singer/songwriter of The Ugly Club says, âWith this campaign weâre basically asking our fan base to become our record label. 'The Astronauts' have begun something special in Philadelphia. Our sound is so new and refreshing, making us something to pay attention to for 2012. We do not focus on all these cliches (drugs, guns, violence etc.) that had artists rise to the top in 2011. Instead we stay true to what is real to us and what we think Hip-Hop is all about: being fly and talking about real life experiences; with our own superior production and unrivaled lyricism. Sometimes we may mention some things like partying and smoking because it is a part of our lifestyle. However never will our music be limited to this with unnecessary repetition. In fact we classify ourselves as Hip-Hop/Pop/Alternative since we are much different from the norm in the Hip-Hop genre; too open-ended to restrict ourselves to just one specific category.
